✨ What does hand built mean?

At Way Out West, hand-built jewelry is at the heart of everything we do. While other designers may turn to 3D printing for their creations, we’re committed to offering something truly special. Every piece we create is crafted from start to finish, by Nick, by hand. 

This approach means that when you choose us,  you're getting more than just jewelry—you're receiving an exclusive, meaningful piece that’s as unique as you are. Our goal is to create jewelry that’s not only an accessory but also a work of art, reflecting the care and craftsmanship we pour into every design. We conceptualize, design, source, and hand-build each piece the traditional way. Using recycled golds and ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones, we ensure that every piece is not only beautiful but also responsibly made in the PNW. 

✨ Are your stones sturdy for everyday wear?

Diamonds rate a 10 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, and sapphires come in at a 9, making both stones incredibly durable and perfect for everyday wear.

 ✨ Do you work with customer stones?

We’d be honored to work with your personal stones! However, this is handled on a case-by-case basis, as we prefer not to work with stones that have cracks or chips. This precaution helps us ensure your custom piece is crafted without causing any further damage to the stones. Reach out to discuss working with your stones!

  ✨ What is your turnaround time for custom jewelry?

  • Ready To Ship designs will ship within a week of being purchased. If you need a free resize it may add an additional week to your shipping time.
  • Charms - Can take up to 3 weeks to make. Please allow time for your charm to be created.
  • Bands - All bands are custom made for you! Depending on the design style it can take 3 to 4 weeks to make. 
  • Custom Design Work - Once your custom listing has been purchased,  you will receive your design  in 4-6 weeks. Exact time frames will be discussed on a piece-by-piece basis. 
  • Worried about meeting a special deadline? Contact us to get a RUSH added to your order for an additional fee of $200. With adding a rush to your order you will be guaranteed to get your design in your hand by an exact date. This also includes upgraded shipping.

  ✨ Do you offer ring resizing after purchase?

Yes, we do! If you need to resize your WOWJ ring, just contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
